Despite six points, Matej satisfied with the race in Auckland

The first race of this year’s Speedway Grand Prix series for Matej didn’t end as he wanted, as six points and eleventh place did not rank at what he strived, but in the end, he was just happy with the engines and racing and with a bit of luck, he would ended much better.

“Although I scored only a point more than last year , I’m not so disappointed because I know, that together with my team I worked well and had a good racing. I have a good feeling on the bike and I’m also satisfied with my two main engines,” said Matej after the race, adding: “I worked hard for these 6 points tonight and before this race I had only one race in Europe, because two in United Kingdom were rained off. Until the next Grand Prix I have thankfully an extremely tight schedule, so I believe my preparedness will be quite differently.”

Next Grand Prix will be in three weeks in Bydgoszcz, Poland , where Matej won an excellent second place last year.
